Who the DTV is designed for

The Destination Thailand Visa may be relevant to eligible remote workers, freelancers, people joining specified Thai activities and qualifying family members. The applicant must show a genuine connection to the chosen category. Holding savings alone does not prove that the proposed activity or work arrangement qualifies.

Financial and supporting evidence

Bank records should clearly identify the account holder and demonstrate the required financial position. Employment, contracts, business records, portfolios or activity confirmations should be current and consistent. Dependants need separate passports and relationship evidence. Documents may require translation or additional verification.

Entries, stays and work limitations

Applicants should understand the permitted stay attached to each entry, extension possibilities and passport validity. The visa should not be treated as automatic permission to work for a Thai employer.
