Check your dates and estimate a possible overstay fine

Important: This tool provides general information only and does not replace advice or a decision from Thai Immigration or another competent Thai authority. Immigration rules can change and individual circumstances may affect the result. Always check the permitted-stay date in your passport and official Thai government information.

How the Thailand overstay calculator works

Enter the admitted-until date shown in your passport and the date you expect to leave, or use today. The calculator counts calendar days after the permitted date. It estimates the standard overstay fine at 500 baht per day, capped at 20,000 baht, based on published Thai Immigration guidance.

An estimate is not a clearance or a promise that paying a fine will resolve the situation. Overstay may have consequences beyond the fine, including detention, removal and re-entry restrictions, particularly in longer or enforcement-related cases. If the calculator shows a possible overstay, obtain help promptly and do not rely on the tool as legal advice.

Which date should I enter?

Use the latest permission-to-stay date granted by Immigration. If you received an extension, use the extension stamp rather than the date from your first entry. A visa sticker’s expiry date is not automatically the permitted-stay date.

Thailand overstay FAQ

Is the maximum fine always the only consequence?

No. The 20,000-baht cap relates to the standard fine calculation. Other legal and immigration consequences can apply.

What if I leave on the admitted-until date?

On the dates entered, the calculator treats departure on the admitted-until date as no overstay.
