What the 90-day report records
The 90-day report is an address notification for many foreign nationals staying continuously in Thailand. It is separate from a visa, extension of stay and TM30 record. Completing a report does not extend permission to stay, and the next reporting date should not be confused with the passport’s immigration expiry date.

Depending on eligibility and current procedures, reporting may be possible online, by an authorised person or at immigration. Online submissions can remain pending or be rejected when records do not match. Keep the acknowledgement and next-report date with the passport records. Who needs to make a 90-day address notification?
The requirement generally concerns foreign nationals who have permission to stay temporarily in Thailand and remain in the country continuously for more than 90 days. It is a notification of the address currently recorded with Immigration, commonly made using form TM47.
The notification is separate from your visa, extension of stay, re-entry permission and TM30 accommodation record. A date shown on a 90-day receipt is therefore not the same as the date on which your permission to remain in Thailand expires.
How the next reporting date is calculated
Continuous stay in Thailand
The cycle is based on continuous presence in Thailand. After a completed notification, the next date is normally calculated from the reporting cycle recorded by Immigration.
Travel outside Thailand
Leaving Thailand before the next report normally ends the existing continuous-stay count. After returning, a new 90-day period generally starts from the most recent arrival date.
Visa or extension applications
Do not assume that a visa extension automatically replaces the address-notification cycle. Check the receipt and current Immigration record after any extension or status change.
New passport or changed details
A replacement passport, corrected personal details or changed address can cause a mismatch with the previous record. These cases should be reviewed before the next submission.
Documents to bring for a reporting check

What happens if the reporting date has passed?
Contact us promptly rather than waiting for another visa or immigration application. Immigration guidance commonly provides for a 2,000-baht fine when a late notification is dealt with, while the TM47 form notes that a higher penalty may apply in enforcement circumstances. The Immigration officer determines the procedure and any penalty in the individual case.
A late report does not itself extend or cancel the permission to stay, but leaving it unresolved can create avoidable problems when passport, address or extension records are checked later.
