Start with an LTR eligibility assessment
Next Step Hua Hin helps qualifying applicants prepare for Thailand’s Long-Term Resident Visa. The LTR offers valuable long-term benefits, but the criteria are detailed and the application requires strong supporting evidence.
Contact our team before spending time collecting documents or making investments. We will assess whether your circumstances appear to fit an LTR category and explain what evidence would be needed.
Who may qualify?
The programme includes routes for wealthy global citizens, qualifying pensioners, work-from-Thailand professionals and highly skilled professionals. Eligible spouses and children may also apply.
Each category has different financial, income, investment, employment or professional conditions. Simply having sufficient savings or working online does not automatically make someone eligible.
How Next Step Hua Hin can help
LTR applications are submitted for qualification endorsement before the visa can be issued. Our assistance can include:
An initial category and eligibility assessment
Review of income, pension, investment or employment evidence
Identification of missing or unsuitable documents
Organisation of overseas and Thai supporting records
Assistance responding to additional-document requests
Preparation for the visa-issuance stage
No adviser can guarantee endorsement by the Board of Investment or visa issuance by the authorities. If the available evidence does not support an LTR application, we will tell you and discuss more realistic options.

Understanding the LTR assessment
Thailand’s Long-Term Resident programme is designed for defined categories rather than every person seeking a long stay. An assessment may consider income, assets, employment, professional experience, investment, insurance and the applicant’s connection to an eligible employer or activity. Meeting one headline figure does not necessarily establish eligibility because supporting conditions and documentary proof also matter.
Building a credible evidence file
Applicants should prepare consistent identity, financial, tax, employment and qualification records covering the periods requested. Documents issued overseas may need certification or translation. Dependants require their own identity and relationship evidence. We can review the proposed category, flag missing evidence and organise documents before submission.
Planning beyond approval
Applicants should understand reporting, employment and family obligations associated with the chosen route. Changes in employment or family circumstances should be reviewed promptly. If LTR is unsuitable, we can discuss other long-stay visa routes, including DTV and retirement options.
