Ride legally and check the bike before departure
You need a valid motorcycle entitlement accepted in Thailand; a car licence alone is not sufficient. Before riding, inspect the tyres, brakes, lights and mirrors, photograph any existing damage, and confirm the insurance, excess, fuel and return terms. Every rider and passenger should use an approved helmet.
