Hua Hin has two convenient immigration locations: the full-service main office in Thap Tai and a smaller branch on the third floor of BluPort Hua Hin Resort Mall. The right choice depends on the service you need. This guide explains where to go, what to prepare and how to avoid an unnecessary second journey.
Thap Tai or BluPort: which office should you use?
| Service | Main office — Thap Tai | BluPort branch |
|---|---|---|
| Annual or long-term extension of stay | Yes — use the main office | Normally not handled |
| Complex extension, visa-status or case review | Yes | Normally not handled |
| Residence certificate | Yes | Normally use Thap Tai |
| 90-day report | Yes | Generally available |
| Re-entry permit | Yes | Generally available |
| TM30 address notification or enquiry | Yes | Generally available |
| Routine 30-day tourist or visa-exempt extension | Yes | Available for eligible cases when offered |
BluPort is a limited-service branch. Its counters, hours and accepted applications can change. For an annual extension, residence certificate, unusual case or any application involving substantial supporting evidence, Thap Tai is the safer choice. Confirm the current arrangement before travelling.
Short-stay visitors should also check the confirmed 30-day visa-exemption rules effective from 15 September 2026 before calculating an extension deadline or visiting immigration.
Main Hua Hin Immigration Office — Thap Tai
The Thap Tai office is Hua Hin’s full immigration office. It is normally the correct destination for annual retirement and marriage extensions, other long-term extensions, residence certificates, visa-status applications, complex document reviews and cases requiring a full immigration decision. It also handles routine services such as 90-day reporting, re-entry permits and TM30 matters.
Address: 439 Moo 1, Thap Tai, Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan 77110.
Best for: full-service and document-heavy applications.
Before leaving: check public holidays, current counter hours and whether your application requires an appointment or extra local documents.

BluPort Immigration branch — third floor
The BluPort branch is useful for straightforward transactions in central Hua Hin. The branch moved to the mall’s third floor in July 2025. Its limited walk-in service has generally included 90-day reports, re-entry permits, TM30 notifications and routine 30-day extensions for eligible visa-exempt or tourist-visa visitors. The branch is not a substitute for the main office when an application needs a full review.
Location: Third Floor, BluPort Hua Hin Resort Mall.
Best for: selected routine services and a central location.
Do not assume: that every immigration application or every type of extension can be completed at BluPort.

What to bring to Hua Hin Immigration
There is no universal document pack. Requirements depend on the application, nationality, immigration history, current address and the officer’s review. As a practical starting point, organise:
- Your original passport and copies of the identity page, current visa, latest entry stamp and relevant extension stamps.
- The correct current form, completed clearly but with any declaration that must be witnessed left unsigned until instructed.
- Recent passport photographs in the required size.
- Current proof of address and TM30 evidence where relevant.
- The application fee in cash and a small amount for additional copies or photographs.
- Case-specific evidence such as bank documents, relationship documents, rental documents, employment records or supporting letters.
Use a separate, ordered set of copies for each application. Requirements can differ even when two applicants appear to have similar cases. Our guides to visa extensions and residence certificates explain the common starting points.
Practical visitor advice
- Confirm jurisdiction. Immigration matters are normally handled by the office responsible for your current Thai address.
- Check the service location. Do not travel to BluPort for a long-term or complex application without confirming it is accepted there.
- Arrive with time. Document checking, queues or a request for an additional copy can extend the visit.
- Dress neatly and communicate simply. State the service you need and keep the relevant folder ready.
- Check the result before leaving. Read every stamp, date, receipt and reporting instruction. A submitted application does not extend your stay unless an official endorsement confirms it.
Can the service be completed online?
Some tasks may be available online, including eligible 90-day reports and TM30 notifications. Online eligibility and system requirements are separate from the services offered at a local counter. A 90-day report is also not an extension of stay. Check the Thai Immigration Bureau for current online services and official forms. Keep confirmation receipts and check that the submission was accepted rather than merely transmitted.
Other government services at BluPort
BluPort has also hosted the Prachuap Khiri Khan Government Center and other public-service counters. Services have included transport, municipal, labour, social-security, district-registration, revenue and postal functions. A Department of Consular Affairs passport office operates at BluPort and has offered selected document services. These are separate agencies with their own hours, appointment rules and service limits; confirm the relevant counter before making a special journey.
Frequently asked questions
Does Hua Hin really have two immigration offices?
Yes. Hua Hin is fortunate to have the full main office in Thap Tai and a convenient limited-service branch at BluPort. They do not provide identical services.
Which office handles annual extensions?
Use the main Thap Tai office for annual retirement, marriage and other long-term extensions unless Immigration specifically directs you elsewhere.
Can I do a 90-day report at BluPort?
BluPort has generally accepted routine 90-day reports. Online reporting may also be available. Check the current counter service before travelling.
Can BluPort issue a residence certificate?
Residence certificates and applications needing a fuller review should normally be taken to Thap Tai.
Are the document requirements the same for everyone?
No. Immigration can request case-specific or updated evidence. Prepare from the correct checklist for your application and bring originals for comparison.
