Bangkok Immigration Offices Closed September 28–29 Due to Flooding

Bangkok Immigration’s affected service centres will remain closed on Tuesday, September 29, following their closure on Monday. Immigration Division 1 says the temporary closure covers September 28–29, 2026, following flooding and a Cabinet decision on special public holidays in Bangkok and nearby provinces.

The announcement applies only to the centres listed below. It does not state that every immigration office in Thailand is closed, and it does not say that airport immigration services are affected.

Affected Bangkok Immigration service centres

• Chaeng Watthana Government Complex: Building B, floors 2–3
• Temporary Visa Extension Service Centre (Counter K): IT Square Laksi, floor 3
• Thailand Investment and Expat Service Center (TIESC), Sub-Division 3: One Bangkok, PARADE Zone, floor 6
• Immigration services for legalised labour of four nationalities (NON L-A):
  • IT Square Laksi, floor 2
  • Imperial World Ladprao, floor 5
  • Big C Dao Khanong, floor 2

What to do if you have an appointment or deadline

Check official announcements before travelling and contact the relevant office about any appointment affected by the closure. If an immigration deadline is involved, keep a copy or screenshot of the official closure notice and retain any appointment confirmation or correspondence.

The notice does not say that deadlines are automatically extended. Anyone with a time-sensitive matter should seek confirmation from the responsible immigration office rather than assume that the closure changes a reporting or application date. Localised flooding may also cause travel delays in parts of Bangkok. Allow extra time and check current road or public-transport conditions, but note that the Immigration Division 1 announcement gives flooding and the special-public-holiday decision—not traffic—as the basis for the closures.
